Meghan Markle, Prince Harry lose their royal status in the Netherlands

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be given a room in the royal palace during their visit

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will reportedly not be given an audience with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands during their visit to the Invictus Games this week.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not receive an audience with the King or Queen and will not be with the Dutch royal family during their stay in The Hague, reports Daily Mail and Express UK.

Harry and Meghan will not be given a room in the royal palace during their visit, the Daily Mail reported.

However, the royal couple could be granted 'VIP status' by the Dutch police.

Reportedly, Meghan and Harry, who stepped down as members of the royal family two years ago, will have to spend the night in a hotel.

The Dutch royal family traditionally welcomes foreign royals, but a spokesperson has confirmed that no such olive branch will be extended to Meghan and Harry.
