Prince Harry, Meghan Markle meet Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Camilla on UK visit
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle secretly visit Queen Elizabeth on their way to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games.
Their spokesperson confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stayed in the UK this morning to meet the Queen, before arriving in The Hague for the Invictus Games.
In a visit that not even senior royal aides knew about, Harry and Meghan saw the Queen and Charles and Camilla in Windsor today. The Allies were not expecting that they would come to the UK.
According to reports, it was the tour of Windsor that his team recently revealed to Duke "expect to do so".
This was Meghan Markle's first meeting with the Queen since she stepped down from her royal duties with Prince Harry.
A royal correspondent for the UK's Daily Express said: "Palace officials did not think the Sussexes would come to the UK because it would undermine Harry's legal case against Home Secretary Priti Patel and others. was unsafe. Britain is without police protection or access to intelligence."
The couple has settled in California with their two children.
