Princess Anne represents Queen Elizabeth as she tours Australia

Princess Anne visited Australia where she and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence were received by New South Wales Governor Margaret Beazley and her husband Denise Wilson.

According to Buckingham Palace, Princess Anne opened the royal Sydney Easter Show on the first day of her visit.

The annual show is hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales and brings together regional communities to showcase the finest produce, livestock, crafts and skills.

Later, the Princess Royal met with stallholders at the event, where they learned more about the challenges facing those on the ground after years of drought and recent floods, the palace said in a tweet.
