Whoopi Goldberg will be 'missing' from 'The View' for 'a while'

Joy Behar Says To Her Colleague Whoopi Goldberg, 'Girl Got A Movie'

Her co-panelist Joy Behar said that famous TV personality Whoopi Goldberg will be absent from The View in between her upcoming projects.

On Monday's episode of the daytime talk show, Behar revealed that Goldberg would be absent from The View for "a while" and credited the break for her upcoming shooting projects.

Goldberg is reportedly filming Prime Video's upcoming series adaptation of Neil Gaiman's 2005 fantasy novel Anansi Boys.

"In case you're wondering where Whoopi is, the girl's got a movie she's making and she'll be back when she finishes whatever she's doing. So she went on for a while. Gone,” she added.

As Variety reports, Anansi Boys — a six-episode show — is being filmed in Scotland. Goldberg, 66, will play Bird Woman, the god of birds and a major antagonist in the series.

In addition to Goldberg, the show's cast also includes Malachi Kirby, Delroy Lindo, Amarah-Jay St. Aubin, Grace Saff, Fiona Shaw, and L. Scott Caldwell.
