Drew Barrymore applauds fans and fans for offering her to 'be a better person' on her Insta reel


Drew Barrymore was recently slammed by netizens for mocking the ongoing defamation lawsuit of Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, after which the actress issued an apology on her social media.

On Friday, the Never Been Kissed star shared her two cents with Anthony Anderson in the ongoing Depp-Heard defamation lawsuit on The Drew Barrymore Show.

While the 50 First Dates actress found the case "fascinating", she described the trial as "a layer of madness" and a "seven-layer dip of madness".

Drew said these are real lives of two people and that she understands the feeling of what it's like to "put your life out in public".

However, what really bothered him was his "offering so much information" about his personal life that he commented on it as "crazy".

Following his statement, the 47-year-old faced backlash on social media as fans found his joke distasteful.

The Blended star posted a video on Instagram on Sunday in which he apologized to his followers and fans for taking lightly the matter related to the Pirates of the Caribbean actor and his ex-wife.

She said, "It has come to my attention that I have offended people in light of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard and for that, I just want to deeply apologize and appreciate everyone who spoke out because this Could be a learning moment for me."

Along with this, he said that this will help him become a more thoughtful and better person.

The Scream actress said, "I just want to be a good person and I really appreciate the depth of it and I will grow and change from it."

She thanked everyone for "helping her grow" and "teaching her" to be the best version of herself at the end of the video.
