Queen Elizabeth's confession about the 'pressures' of 'royal duty' exposed

Queen Elizabeth reportedly 'desired' to mingle with British people throughout her life

Queen Elizabeth has reportedly longed for mingling with the British people throughout her life, but pressures from her 'duty' as monarch have kept her from doing so, a royal biographer recently told Express UK disclosed accordingly.

Talking about the life of the 96-year-old monarch, who has now served Britain for 70 years, royal biographer Andrew Morton, in his book, Her Majesty, claims that the Queen once acknowledged that she wanted to protect her people. Wanted to "mix" with. as part of his everyday life.

Commenting on the same on the UK TV show Lorraine, Morton said: "She's lived a lifetime with those four characters, Duty."

"She also tried to understand what she had to deal with — the isolation and loneliness of the job," he said.

Morton then relayed: "She was once in discussions with Billy Graham, the famous American-born re-preacher ... they were looking out of Buckingham Palace and he said, 'Would you like to mingle with those guys? Will not want?' And he said 'with all his heart'."

The biographer went on to say that Queen Elizabeth may have been a 'matriarchy' to the nation, but she has also had to 'get away' with her people.

"She is a matriarch to the nation, but at the same time she is distant."
