Queen Elizabeth's 'weak health' forces her to take 'short break' in Scotland

Queen Elizabeth's health has reportedly forced her to take a 'short break' at her Scottish home in Balmoral

Queen Elizabeth's health has reportedly forced her to take a 'short break' at her Scottish home in Balmoral before the anniversary celebrations begin later this week, Express UK reports.

A royal source confirmed to the outlet on Friday that the 96-year-old monarch had traveled to her Scottish home of Balmoral yesterday, May 26, in an effort to give herself some rest before the ceremony begins on June 2.

The visit comes as concerns about the Queen's health continue to grow over the past few months, despite the monarch appearing to be in good spirits in recent days.

According to sources close to earlier, the Queen is believed to be suffering from an 'episodic mobility issue' which could be a reason for her short trip to Scotland.

The Queen is already expected to play a limited role in her birth anniversary celebrations due to her declining health.
