Expert claims The Queen wanted 'success' in the Royal Family for Meghan Markle.

Royal writer and Princess Diana biographer, Tina Brown, told the Washington Post that the Queen was about to pass on one of her most 'precious' patronages to the Duchess of Sussex.

“I think the Queen and the Palace have set up the Sussexes for a lot of success. I mean the Queen gave [Ms Markle] one of her most treasured patronages.

"Patron of the National Theatre. What a wonderful thing for a former actress. A wonderful, prestigious patronage.

“He also made his own Vice President of the Commonwealth Foundation, noting that Meghan said she has a great desire to do some global, humanitarian work, there is no better forum to be able to speak up on the question of women’s education or minorities Is.

“It was a really great platform that needed to be modernized and dusted off and changed, especially in the social environment of the day with the Black Lives Matter issue.

"But, nonetheless, there was a big role, a long-standing role, with a lot of longevity for the Sussexes," she said.

However, Meghan and Prince Harry have decided to leave the UK and relinquish their duties as senior royals to the family. The couple now resides in California.
