Kate Middleton warns on 'sit down with politicians'

Prince William's wife Kate Middleton has been warned over "sitting down with politicians"

The Duchess of Cambridge hosted a roundtable discussion this morning with several experts in the field of early childhood development, as well as high-ranking politicians.

One royal commentator, Christopher Wilson, believes it is "extremely unwise" for a young royal like Kate to hold meetings with politicians.

Responding to Kate's move, the expert wrote on Twitter: "With the utmost respect, in the current climate it is extremely unwise for young royals to sit down with politicians, even if there is a good reason.

Wilson further wrote: "Good work can be achieved without the involvement of MPs and ministers."

Health Secretary Sajid Javid was among key government officials who sat with Kate today.

During the discussion, Kate Middleton said: "If we come together to raise the importance of early childhood development, we will soon see that healthy, happy individuals create a healthier, happier world. This is why we Every moment spent with a child is an investment in our collective future."
