Kim Kardashian is reportedly defending her Marilyn Monroe dress violation.

The iconic dress that Kim wore to the Met Gala 2022 with boyfriend Pete Davidson was reportedly torn with some crystals and hanging from a thread.'

However, a source close to the 41-year-old says the rumors of Kim destroying the dress are "not accurate" and "completely false".

A comparison of the outfit's old versus new photos was shared by photographer Chadmichael Morissette.

He wrote: "So much for maintaining 'the integrity and preservation of the dress'. @ripleysbelieveitornot, was it worth it?' Read a caption.

In response to the viral photos, one person wrote, "Missing so many crystals and those tears."

"Looks like it is in a state after so many years of preservation. Very sad," echoed another.

"She shouldn't have been allowed to borrow the dress in the first place," complained someone else.
