Prince William, Kate Middleton 'paying for new home on their own' amid backlash

Prince William and Kate Middleton will reportedly pay for their new home at their Windsor, Adelaide cottage

Prince William and Kate Middleton will reportedly pay with their personal accounts for their new home in Windsor, Adelaide Cottage, amid criticism from the couple keeping three furnished homes.

Speaking about the Cambridges' big royal move from the Kensington Palace royal home to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, a source close to Kate and William told The Sun: "Kate and William are looking forward to starting their new lives in Windsor with a modest Were looking forward to home."

“Adelaide Cottage fits the bill as it is a four bedroom home and they need no more as they have no live-in staff. They were adamant that they did not want anything fancy or anything that required renewal or additional security so as not to burden the taxpayer,” said the insider.

The source also shared that it is also family-friendly as it means Kate and William's three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, can go to school together in the same vicinity.

“The three kids will enjoy running around and playing in the gardens, the kind of life they enjoy when they are in Anmer Hall. They will pay the rent from their personal account. They just need to move some of their treasured furniture and property,” concluded the insider.
