Val Kilmer says making Top Gun sequel with Tom Cruise after 36 years was 'really fun'
Val Kilmer has opened up about reprising his role as Iceman in the sequel to Tom Cruise-starrer Top Gun.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Kilmer shared what it was like to be able to play "Iceman" with Cruise so long after the first film.
"It looked like no time had passed at all", the actor said, adding, "We had a lot of laughs, it was really fun... special.".
Kilmer, who also played Iceman in the 1986 classic Top Gun, explained that the actors share a deep bond from an early age.
"We were all so young during the making of the first film, but we all had a special bond nonetheless," Kilmer said, "we would still laugh and dance the night away!"
The Tombstone actor also shared his reaction to hearing the news of starring in the Top Gun sequel, saying, "Tom called me. I said yes right away!"
