Amber Rose says she introduced Nicki Minaj to Kanye West

Nicki Minaj didn't know Kanye West before Amber Rose introduced her to the rapper.

On a recent episode of the Higher Learning podcast with Van Lathan, Rose talked about the monster's creation song.

"I put Nicky on 'Monster,'" Rose claimed. "She didn't know who Nicky was back then. I dragged Nicky up to the studio and I put her on Monster."

She continued, "She was still coming, and I saw her in the studio and I said, 'Oh my god, this she's talented as hell.' And then I went back to Kanye and I was like, 'You need this girl to get Nicky on the 'monster' and he was like, 'Who? What? No, I don't..." And I said, ' Let him pull you up, what will it hurt?' She heard the song and then she came back the next day with poetry."

Rose claims that Minaj was so good at the song—which many consider to be one of her best verses ever—that West thought about removing it to avoid looking bad.
