Meghan Markle and Prince Harry turned down the Queen's invitation to spend a family vacation with Archie in 2019.
The family of three left for Ibiza while the emperor spent his summer holidays in Balmoral.
Writer Tom Bower claimed that Harry and Meghan felt Archie was "too young at three months to travel by plane to Scotland".
Despite earlier hesitations, it is reported that the Queen has again invited the Sussexes to attend a summer retreat - an offer rejected by the couple amid their busy schedules, it has been speculated.
The couple's final UK visit was marked in June, when they also introduced their young child, Lilibet, to the Queen during their Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
