Tom Cruise Wants to Buy a Place in the Upscale Kensington Area in the $10 Million Range
Tom Cruise is on the hunt for a home in upmarket London's posh area as the actor plans to make it his "primary residence".
The Top Gun: Maverick star is looking to buy a place in the upscale Kensington area, near the royal Kensington Palace, for $10 million range.
"He's making purchases in the $10 million range," an insider told Page Six. "It will be a new location and will function more as a primary residence."
The neighborhood has been home to many famous names including Richard Branson, fashion designers Stella McCartney, Robbie Williams and Rowan Atkinson.
The charmingly gated community also houses the charming street Kensington Palace Gardens, which according to the outlet is called "Billionaire's Row".
Billionaires like Roman Abramovich, Len Blavatnik and steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal also live in the area which offers tight security.
However, the area has an average of $35 million in homes, which is much more than what Cruise plans to invest in.
Cruise's desire to move to London comes as no surprise to many as an insider previously told In Touch Weekly that the 60-year-old mega star had fallen in love with the city,
"Tom loves the rainy season, guys, the long walks in the city," the source told the outlet. "They've never had a place to call home before, not really, but they eventually found it in London."
