'Young Michael Jackson was offered drugs by David Bowie': reveals Janet Jackson's doctor

The late great rock singer David Bowie offered drugs to young Michael Jackson and his brother Randy Jackson, a new Janet Jackson documentary has revealed.

The highly unveiled documentary, premiering Friday and Saturday on Lifetime and A&E, details the realities and struggles of the All For You singer's life.

In a recent piece, the Together Again song-producer recalled regularly hosting celebrities at his three-acre home in Los Angeles in the 1970s.

She said, "I remember one of those parties we had, [David] Bowie came over. And I think he was looking for a little room to get away from everyone else.

Randy explains that David ran into one of his and Jackson's rooms. "So Bowie comes in and ... he offered us something he was doing to get high," he said.

"We just looked at each other. We were like, 'No.' We didn't know what it was, but it was like, 'Nah, no, thanks.'"

Meanwhile, in the later part of the documentary, Janet also spoke openly about facing racism as most white neighbors 'petitioned' so that the Jacksons were 'not in the neighbourhood.'

"I remember (I was) told to go back to the country, with some teachers at school and some kids feeling your hair touching, because your hair was different from theirs," she expressed.
