Several 2022 NFL Draft prospects shone during Saturday's Scouting Showcase in Mobile, AL.
The 2022 Senior Bowl took place on Saturday in Mobile, AL, and team x won with a 20-10 victory over team y. As always, the game featured many possibilities for the upcoming NFL Draft to have the opportunity to impress in front of scouts from all 32 teams in the league. The Detroit Lions' coaching staff oversaw the American team, while the New York Jets staff handled the national team.
The highlight of the game was at quarterback, where Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett debuted for the national team and Liberty's Malik Willis debuted for the US team. Propelled as quarterback before the board, Piquet looked ready in his two drive-off actions. He went six-six through the air for 89 yards and a touchdown to keep his team on board.

On the other end, Willis displayed some elusiveness, with some projecting him as the No. 2 QB selected in the April draft. He went just two-four through the air for 11 yards but he made his highlight using his feet. He led the entire American team in a 54-yard run.

Other QBs such as North Carolina's Sam Howell, Nevada's Carson Strong, and Cincinnati's Desmond Ridder got plenty of runs in the showcase. Ridder notably led the national team on two separate touchdown drives in the competition.
The star of the entire afternoon on defense was Oklahoma defensive tackle Perion Winfrey, who could have crawled into the first round position he had that week with. He had five tackles, three TFLs and two sacks in the day.

Other defensive standouts included Wyoming linebacker Chad Muma, who had a game-high eight tackles, and Tennessee cornerback Alonte Taylor, who pulled off an interception.
With the Senior Bowl now in the rearview mirror, many of these prospects will now set their sights on Indianapolis for next month's NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium.
