What should Warriors do before the NBA Trade Deadline?

We look at whether the Golden State Warriors should buy or sell before the NBA trade deadline on February 10.

The Golden State Warriors are ready to extend their lineage, with one of the best records in the league before the trade deadline and the All-Star break. Golden State had a great opportunity to choose two of their lotteries in the off-season in a move to a fourth star, although the level of Klay Thompson's playing was not known at the time. With Thompson working his way up, the Warriors are one of the few teams that are actually contenders for the 2021-22 title.

Draymond Green will be back at some point. The Golden State doesn't have to deal just to do one. Warriors should only relinquish property if they feel they can acquire someone like Bradley Beal or Damien Lillard. James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga are high-capacity pieces that can grow alongside Curry, Thompson, and Green. The Warriors should only deal with them when a real star is coming back to the Bay Area.
