Britney Spears touches on prenatal struggles in her last two pregnancies
Britney Spears prepares for her pregnancy as an independent woman.
This Tuesday, the 40-year-old, who announced her pregnancy with 29-year-old Sam Asghari, shared her joy as she begins a new life.
Brittany, whose conservatism expired back in November, was not allowed to have children for 13 years. She already shares Sean Preston, 16, and Jaden, 15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
"Pregnancy is great news for Britney," says one longtime close business associate. “There was a lot of turmoil in her early years with the boys. She was young, promoting her music, recording, doing what the record company wanted, and running her family. It was a lot of pressure.
"This time, for the first time, she has complete control. She can have a baby on her own terms. This is her chance to find the right path to being a mother."
However, trouble is predicted in heaven as Britney admitted to having a history of suicidal thoughts during prenatal depression.
"It's hard because I had perinatal depression when I was pregnant," she said in her emoji-scattered post yesterday. "I must say it's absolutely horrifying. Women didn't talk about it back then - some considered it dangerous if a woman with a baby inside her complained like that. But now women talk about it everyday Thank you jesus we don't need to keep that pain a secret...".
