Floyd Mayweather's daughter, Iaana 'Yaya' Mayweather, pleads guilty to stabbing
Floyd Mayweather's daughter, Iyna 'Yaya' Mayweather, pleaded guilty in 2020 to a charge of stabbing love rival Lapriatta Jacobs, reports The Independent.
According to reports, 21-year-old Iyana pleaded guilty to grievous assault with a deadly weapon in Harrison County Court on Wednesday.
Iyana is said to have stabbed Lapriatta over a love rivalry over rapper NBA Youngboy, who has fathered children with both women.
He was arrested in April 2020 following an altercation at the rapper's home, in which Lapratta was injured.
According to reports at the time, Iyana stabbed Lapriatta twice with two different knives, leaving her hospitalized. He was taken into custody before being released on a $30,000 bond.
Speaking about the case, Iyana's lawyer, Kent Schaefer, told The Independent: "The agreement calls for Iyana to be adjourned for a period of 6 years, after which she will have no felony charges and the case is dismissed. Will go."
“He is eligible to terminate the deferred decision after two years pending his good behaviour. Although we believe that Iyana was defending herself after the attack, but we thought it was the safest solution for her,” he said.
