Meghan Markle uses royal fame to mint money
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are being called out for their Netflix deals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received a series of hateful comments on the Internet after Margaret Thatcher's former adviser Nile Gardiner suggested stripping them of their royal titles.
“Simply unbelievable that Meghan Markle still retains a royal title, which she has done to insult and attack the British monarchy,” he tweeted.
Gardiner's comments came after novelist Celia Walden was ridiculed for signing back to back deals with Netflix, despite the streaming giant producing content that hurts the royals.
Responding to Gardiner's tweet, one wrote: "Agreed! The monarchy is showing its weakness."
"MM hasn't done anything to deserve that title and she's using it to make money in the USA.
"Mocking the monarchy," joked a third.
"They wanted freedom and independence. Give them that," suggested one, noting how the couple moved into senior royals in 2020 to separate themselves from Windsor House.
