Prince William and wife Kate Middleton have been asked to adopt the late Princess Diana's press style
Prince William and wife Kate Middleton, who were lambasted for their 'flashy offensive' in the Caribbean last month, were asked to adopt the late Princess Diana's press style to be more successful in the media, Express UK reports has gone.
William and Kate's royal representatives are not doing 'enough' to make the royal couple more tasteful and 'relevant in the post-Facebook era', according to a media expert.
Speaking to Sky News Australia, Telmon consulting director Todd Hayward said: "They need to start spinning because they haven't changed the protocol or schedule of the royal visit for almost 100 years."
He continued: "The royals haven't done enough and the people around them haven't done enough to make them relevant even after the Facebook and streaming era. Back in the days when we grew up, there were three TV channels, the world was simple .
Hayward said that while there was little or no competition in the royal family at the time, today they are competing with other royal families as well as Hollywood royalty like the Kardashians.
"They need to do something that I think backs my opinion of what Diana did because she really built relationships with people," Hayward said.
