Kate Bush discusses song's revival in Netflix hit series

Kate Bush recently talks about the successful revival of her song on the Netflix hit series.

According to The Guardian, the singer-songwriter was interviewed with BBC Radio 4's Woman Hour podcast after her 1985 song Running Up the Hill was featured on the latest season of Stranger Things.

Billboard reported that Kate is the official U.K.

Speaking of her unexpected success, Kate said, "It's so exciting, it's actually quite shocking, isn't it? The whole world has gone crazy."

The crooner noted that she was already a fan of the Netflix series even before its song was included in the "survival scene for Max's fight".

"It's such a good series, I thought the track would get some attention, but I never thought it would be anything like this. I thought of it in such a positive way as a talisman of sorts for Max." What a lovely way to use the song. It's really touching,” explained the singer

The 63-year-old also shared that he is happy that his track was introduced to a "new generation of fans through this series".

"I think what's really amazing is that it's a completely new audience that, in many cases, they've never heard of me, and I love that. Thinking of all these young people hearing the song for the first time. And to find it, I think it's very special,” she said.
