PSL 2022: Inzamam regrets slow pitch at National Stadium

Former Pakistan cricket captain Inzamam-ul-Haq on Thursday urged the cricket board management to improve the quality of pitches at the National Stadium after a low-scoring match between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans.

Talking about the first match of PSL 2022 in Geo News' program 'Jashn A Cricket', the former cricketer expressed his displeasure over the slow pitch and asked the groundsmen to work harder on the pitches.

He said, 'T20 matches should not be played on such a pitch.

Inzamam-ul-Haq said that if a player plays well, he gets a place in the team. If Sharjeel works on his fitness, he can become a big player.

Praising the Multan Sultans captain who played crucial innings, the veteran batsman said that Mohammad Rizwan has become a seasoned player.

However, cricket expert Sikander Bakht believed that Babar Azam's batting depended on Mohammad Rizwan.

The Kings captain failed to perform and was dismissed early in the innings while Rizwan scored a half-century to ensure his team's victory.
