Terror on Campus UCLA 'mass shooting threat' investigated after 'researcher's chilling 800-page manifesto emailed to staff'

The University of California, Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating reports of a philosophy researcher sending threatening emails to faculty and students.

A screenshot of an email purportedly sent by the department's chair to the Department of Philosophy was posted to UCLA Reddit, warning students and teachers about the researchers.

The UCLA Police Department is now investigating a philosophy researcher who allegedly sent threatening emails to students and teachers

"Because his whereabouts are yet unresolved, with caution, everyone is allowed, and in fact I recommend, to keep his sections remotely until further notice," read the email.

The email continues with examples of threats from a researcher exhibiting "highly erratic behavior" from last spring.

“He left the area by June last year, but his whereabouts are currently being investigated as today he has sent a barrage of threatening emails [sic] to several people in the department and many others.

"The content includes a video titled 'UCLA Philosophy Mass Shooting' and an 800-page manifesto with specific threats to certain members of the department."

A YouTube channel of the researcher possibly spread among UCLA students is where the video sent in the threatening email came from.

Several videos on the account make explicit reference to past mass shootings and show the alleged researcher making derogatory remarks about the university.

Bill Kisliuk, Director of Media Relations, told The Sun: "The UCLA Police Department is aware of a related email and posting sent today to certain members of the UCLA community and is actively engaged with out-of-state law enforcement and federal agencies. "
