Queen Elizabeth attends a memorial for her late husband Prince Philip today, March 29
Queen Elizabeth is attending a memorial for her late husband Prince Philip at Westminster Abbey today, March 29, with reports that special arrangements have been made to assist with the monarch's health issues.
According to Express UK, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey officials are working hard to ensure the 95-year-old monarch can attend the service.
Sources suggest that the ceremony has been cut to 40 minutes instead of an hour, with the queen seated in a special comfortable chair while others stand for hymns.
Queen Elizabeth is expected to enter the Abbey through an entrance next to Poets' Corner, which avoids running from the Great West Door to the far side of the nave. She will reportedly also walk with the help of a stick.
The monarch will reportedly settle in one of the two Canada Chairs present at the abbey, which is used in services by the sovereign or senior members of the royal family.
