Hugh Jackman talks about the moment he escaped exile because of his fame as X-Men's Wolverine

Hugh Jackman recalls the hilarious example that escaped exile because of his previous fame as X-Men's Wolverine.

The actor weighed in on everything during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Kimmel.

The incident took place on the border between Los Angeles and Toronto where the film 2000 X-Men was being shot.

Before walking through a customs agent without a visa, Jackman recalls a set worker telling him to lie about auditioning.

"I'm like, the sweats are just pouring in, and I literally said, 'No, no, this isn't an audition. I have the part.' I just broke down. It was pathetic," he recalled in that instance.

The agent found a police escort for him when the actor told the agent that he was auditioning for the live-action remake, but that wasn't before signing some autographs.

Jackman admitted, "He was a crazy 'X-Men' fan, and that was the only reason I got the role."
