According to their findings, Travis is 'much more aware' of what his appearance at The Kardashian's premiere event will look like and thus, "thought it was best" not to go.
According to sources, "Travis thought that if he had been at the premiere, he would have taken the night away from what was going to happen. He has a lot of things to deal with and he would have been out with a fun time at a premiere." So he knows what it will look like."
However, Travis will be featured within the series.
