Anne Hathaway writes thoughtful message on The Devil Wears Prada anniversary on social media


Anne Hathaway recently marked the 16th anniversary of her popular film The Devil Wears Prada by sharing a heartfelt message in the wake of Rowe Wed's decision.

On Thursday, the Princess Diaries star took to Instagram and posted several still photos from her film featuring Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt from the lead cast.

In the caption, Hathaway first gave a shout out to her "amazing designer" for the gorgeous outfits in the film.

"Happy anniversary to #TheDevilWearsPrada, with special love to the wonderful @patriciafield! She dressed us in the most incredible, iconic and delightful outfits that somehow continue to serve even after 16 years. This is magic,” the 39-year-old wrote.

The actress also slammed the US Supreme Court's landmark decision to end women's constitutional right to abortion.

"Looking at the pictures from this lovely film that shaped the lives and careers of many people—including me—I am struck by the fact that the young female characters in this film have built their lives and careers in a country that has Their right is respected. Choice over their own reproductive health," she said.

Adding to this, the Oscar winner commented, "See you in the fight."
