ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday took note of the police action against MQM-P protesters and sought a report from the authorities concerned.

A day earlier, one person had lost his life while several members of the MQM-P, including women, were injured following lathi-charge and tear-gas by Karachi police during a sit-in outside CM House.

Taking to Twitter, PM Imran said, "I have taken note of the violence used by Sindh Police against the peaceful protest of MQM against the LG Act of Sindh, and sought a report from the Ministry of Interior, Sindh CS and Sindh IG. "

The Prime Minister said that after receiving the inquiry report, he would take necessary action against those responsible.
