'Spider-Man: No Way Home' filmmaker reveals he conducted 'therapy sessions' for three Spider-Men

Spider-Man: No Way Home filmmaker Jon Watts recently opened up about the preparations he's made to film the three Spider-Men reunions.

During his interview with Variety, the director revealed that he arranged a 'therapy session' for Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland before filming their first scene together.

"We sat in a circle on folding chairs and went through the script together," he recalled.

“I spoke to everyone separately, but putting everyone together to talk about the story, how the pieces fit together and what Spider-Man meant to him – it was exciting to me, " said the director.

"We only had three actors who had ever played Spider-Man in a movie, and each did a lot on and off-screen. It was like a Spider-Man therapy session," Watt explained.

Expressing his enthusiasm at the time, Watt shared, "Because we did that work ahead of time, when filming that first scene with everyone, it was great to take a step back and see the crew, Like they were watching a movie."

“You are capturing more than a scene from a movie; You are witnessing a once in a lifetime event,” he said.
